SHEIKHUPURA: Five people, including three brothers, were gunned down over an old enmity at Hadoki village in Muridke police precincts here on Monday.

Syed and Butt groups of the village had an enmity. On Monday, both groups had exchange words. Later, six armed members of the Butt group attacked their rivals outside the house and opened fire, killing three brothers – Qaisar Shah, Irfan Shah and Amir Shah – and Rehman and Arslan.

The attackers managed their escape. All the deceased belong to the Syed group.

Muridke police are looking into the matter.
