MUZAFFARABAD: The legal fraternity of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) stayed away from work on Saturday to protest and condemn the rape and murder of an eight-year-old child of a Muslim family in Kathua in India-held Kashmir, and to express solidarity with the lawyer who is fighting for justice for the victim’s family.

In response to a call from the AJK Bar Council, a good number of lawyers staged rallies and demonstrations in all major towns of the AJK.
