ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has served show cause notices to its 20 members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for allegedly selling their votes in the Senate elections last month.

The party also formed a six-member disciplinary committee headed by KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to probe into the matter and asked tainted MPAs to submit their replies in 15 days.

Other members of the committee are: Atif Khan, Shehran Tarakai, Shehryar Afridi, Shah Farman and Naeemul Haq.

Interestingly, a number of lawmakers denied the charge and said they would take up the matter with the party leadership whose act had damaged their reputation.
