Judicial activism in Pakistan is at its peak. The honourable chief justice of Pakistan has started asking probing questions about the quality of water and other commodities, and about the standard of governance.
It is an open secret that the PML-N is peeved with the judiciary since Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification. The second pillar of state has adopted a tough stance to maintain its dignity.
It augurs well that the CJP is concerned about government inaction in some areas and is determined to consolidate democracy, but it is necessary for all institutions to work together.
