HYDERABAD: A man committed suicide after gunning down his daughter and injuring five other family members at his home situated in Qasimabad on Tuesday. The man reportedly had some financial, domestic and psychiatric problems, a close relative of the victims and police sources said.

Ahsan Ali Lashari, 45, shot himself dead after killing his 10-year-old daughter Shaheen and injuring his two other daughters — Sana, 4, and Sawera, 15 — his wife, Moomal, 35, and his daughter-in-law Farhana, 20, granddaughter, two-year-old Marvi, at his home, according to SHO of the Qasimabad police station Faiz Ali Shah.

Hyderabad SSP Pir Mohammad Shah said that Ahsan was suffering from some serious mental disorder following financial and domestic problems as he was a father of seven daughters and three sons. He added that a case would be registered soon.
