PESHAWAR, May 20: The family of a missing property dealer has accused the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and a federal intelligence agency of arresting him without any reason. Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Sadiq Bangash, accompanied by other relatives, said that his brother Zafar Bangash had been arrested by the CID and intelligence agency personnel from his home in Hayatabad Township on May 12.
During the raid, the law-enforcement personnel took away a computer, utility bills, cash and gold ornaments after locking inmates in one room of the house, the family alleged.
Later, the law-enforcers returned half of the gold ornaments through local police, they added.
Mr Sadiq Bangash said that the family had no clue as to the whereabouts of Zafar Bangash. Police were also not telling them where he had been detained “without any valid reason”, he said.—Correspondent
