QUETTA: The three-day Bolan Jeep Rally concluded with Jaffar Magsi emerging as winner in the Bibi Nani area on Wednesday. Magsi won the race in the per-period A-category.

The Commander of Southern Command, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony. Inspector General of Frontier Corps, Major General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum briefed the commander on the Second Bolan Jeep Rally.

Over 50 prominent drivers and adventurers, including women, participated in nine different categories of the jeep rally that was witnessed by large numbers people, including tribal elders and provincial ministers.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the jeep rally organised in connection with Pakistan Day celebrations, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the successful jeep rally proved that the peace was restored in Balochistan and they had foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy with the help and cooperation of the people of the province.

He said that with holding such events, tourism would flourish in the area and economic activities would also increase that would change the lifestyle of the people.

The Commander Southern Command said that under the Khushhal Balochistan programme schools, hospitals and roads were being constructed in the province to bring Balochistan on a par with other developed provinces. He said that with the completion of development projects in time ample jobs would be available for the local people.

He announced that next year four jeep rallies would be arranged in Gwadar, Jhal Magsi, Bolan and Ziarat as Balochistan was very suitable for holding such rallies. The other drivers and adventurers who won the 90 km jeep rally in different categories, include Zain Mehmood B-category, Gohar Sangi C-category, and Zafar Baloch D-category.
