LAHORE: The Provincial Governor, Mr Mohammad Musa, today [March 16] cautioned the patriotic people of West Pakistan against the activities of anti-State elements who were trying to undo One Unit and create chaos and confusion in the country.

In his middle-of-the-month broadcast from Radio Pakistan this evening, the Governor said the Government was fully prepared to deal effectively with such elements, but the people, should also remain vigilant and thwart any attempt of undoing One Unit.

He said any attempt to disintegrate West Pakistan was a move against the security and solidarity of Pakistan.

He regretted that certain people at the insistence of disruptionists were trying to weaken the centre and shatter national solidarity. There were certain people too, who under outside influence, were undermining the integrity of West Pakistan.

Governor Musa, who has recently returned from a tour of the southern region, said he was pleased to see the remarkable progress made there after integration.

He said smaller units had benefited most after the integration and gradually the significance of integration was becoming more and more important.
