DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 7: The drive of Dera Ismail Khan District Police against arms/ammunition is getting momentum.

All police stations in the district have been advised to make the campaign a complete success. Five police stations in the districts have recovered unlicensed/illegal weapons and taken six persons in custody during the last 24 hours.

Sadder SHO Muhammad Iqbal Khan has recovered one kalashnikov rifle with 20 rounds from Abdur Razzaq in village Chah Musa Wala. One 30-bore pistol was recovered from Muhammad Aslam ,resident of Piplan (Mianwali), at Bannu Chungi by Syed Mubarak Ali Shah, ASI Cantt.

Kiri Khaisore SHO Saifullah Khan has also recovered one 303-bore rifle with 29 rounds from Bahadar Khan- an Afghan Refugee. Paora SHO Noor Ghulam, during picketing on Dera Multan Road, has recovered one double-barrel shotgun with 29 cartridges from Shah Jahan.

Kulachi ASI Iqbal Hussain Shah and SHO Abdul Ghafoor have recovered one 223-bore rifle with 107 rounds, one 30-bore pistol with 15 rounds from Haji Khan of Chah Mapal and another 30-bore pistol with 8 rounds from Qayyum Khan resident on Rori and Kulachi roads, respectively.
