The Multan Sultans are going to clash with Karachi Kings in the 22nd fixture of the Pakistan Super League 2018 in Dubai on Saturday.

The two teams were scheduled to face-off in the Sharjah leg of the tournament, but the match was washed out by incessant rain.

The Sultans suffered what may have been the biggest upset of the season yesterday when they lost to bottom-dwellers Lahore Qalandars after teenager Shaheen Shah tore through their batting line-up with a five-wicket haul.

Prior to this, a last-over six by the young Hasan Khan had led Quetta Gladiators to a crucial win against the Sultans.

The Kings, on the other hand, have been dealt two back-to-back losses by Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators, respectively. The losses came after the blue shirts had bagged three consecutive wins and had soared to the top of the league standings.

With both sides coming into today's showdown with two straight defeats, today's match could go either way.

As the league proceeds towards play-offs, both the Kings and Sultans will try to exploit the others' weaknesses to revive their fortunes and stay near the top of the points table. This makes today's match a perfect recipe for a neck-and-neck fight.

The match will commence at 4:30pm PST.
