TAXILA: The body of a 13-year-old boy was recovered from a deserted place in the limits of the Hazro police station on Saturday.

The police said marks of torture were found on the body and that the victim seemed to have been strangled to death.

The police said Rooh Ullah, who worked as a helper on a local tool-making shop in Kamra, went missing from his house on Thursday. Passersby had come across his body on Saturday and informed the police. The body was taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and a murder case was registered against unknown persons.

Talking to newsmen, the District Police Officer Attock Ibadat Nisar said special teams have been formed to track down the culprits and that the investigation has been handed over to the Heinous Crimes Investigation Unit.

Separately, a man and his son were shot during a robbery in Lalarukh Scheme No 2 in the limits of the Wah police station the night between Saturday and Sunday.
