Saffron generation

Published February 24, 2018

APROPOS the article ‘Readying a saffron generation’ (Feb 19). The writer has rightly as well as timely raised the issue of the “Hinduisation” of the Indian educational system and academics. Pakistan already has a bitter experience in the name of Islamisation. Resultantly, today Pakistani society is suffering from terrorism, sectarianism, corruption, unemployment, inflation and what not.

Plurality is a beauty. India should shun its myopic majoritarian policy and be proud of being a plural society where minorities, especially Muslims and Christians, have no fear of being treated as second-rate citizens.
