ISLAMABAD: The management of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) has introduced an electronic token system for the patients.

The move is aimed at facilitating the patients who had to stand over an hour in queues to get slip for the checkup.

Machines have been installed in the outpatient departments of Children Hospital and Mother and Child Health (MCH). In the second phase the token machines will be placed in all OPDs of Pims. Around 10,000 patients daily visit the hospital.

Administrator Pims Dr Raja Amjad while talking to Dawn the token machines were aimed at facilitating patients.
