LAHORE: Up to 470 graduates were given degrees and medals at the 6th convocation of the Government College of Science, Wahdat Road, on Friday.

College students, director colleges, principal and teachers were present at the convocation where graduates of three badges of Masters from 2011 to 2016 were given degrees.

Up to 100 top position holder graduates got medals while another 300 got roll of honour medals.

Provincial Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gilani was chief guest who said the government had recruited 3,217 lecturers in colleges and was establishing a faculty development and training academy.
