KARACHI: Half-a-dozen horses will battle it out for supremacy in The Zodiac Cup when it takes place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The cup race, scale order IV and V to be contested over five furlongs, is the fourth in racing order.

A five-race programme has been chalked out for the day’s races and has attracted 31 horses who will vie for honours barring last-minute withdrawal.

Four horses will face the starter in the fifth and last race which is also day’s feature event, top scale order I to be run over five-and-a-half furlongs.

Unknown pedigree dark bay mare Arrogant Lady will make her debut in the opening race.

Meanwhile, the first race starts at 2pm.
