Playground needed

Published February 23, 2018

ISLAMABAD is one of the few cities in the world where urban and rural areas co-exist and are at a convenient drive of less than an hour.

Largely, Islamabad’s rural dwellers are left mostly to themselves, but come election time and politicians descend on the rural areas promising the earth and the moon and everything in between. The same has happened with our once peaceful locality.

The youth of our hamlet would make use of the vast open area located at the junction of Lehtarar Road and Park Road for sports and other activities. Of late this space has been earmarked to construct a hospital for the area.

The hospital is much appreciated as the communities living in the vicinity will receive medical care literally at their doorstep. Unfortunately the youth have lost their playground.

This is a request to the Islamabad civic authorities to also construct a park and a playground in the area.
