RAWALPINDI: The bodies of two Pakistani migrants who drowned off the coast of Libya after a smugglers’ boat capsized were brought to the country by a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight on Sunday.

Earlier, bodies of 11 Pakistani migrants, including a wo­man, who drowned in a boat tragedy on Jan 31 were brought to Islamabad on Wednesday by a scheduled Saudi airline flight. The 11 deceased migrants hailed from Punjab’s districts Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Rawalpindi and Gujarat. The victims whose bodies were brought to the country on Sunday were from Gujarat and Faisalabad.

With two more Pakistani migrants whose bodies arrived on Sunday by SV-722, the death toll has increased to 13. Family members of the victims received the bodies at the cargo section of the Islamabad airport and left for their hometowns for the funeral.
