KARACHI: Inspired by a five-wicket haul from spinner Syed Tayyab, Montgomery Gymkhana completed a 69-run win against Pak Flag CC in their Federal Sports Trophy Cricket League match here on Thursday.

Batting first at the TMC Ground, Montgomery Gymkhana collected 210-8 in the stipulated 40 overs with Bazid Khan (67, four fours and one six) and Ahsan Malik (51, seven boundaries) being their major run-getters.

Pak Flag CC, in reply, were all out for 141 in the 28th over despite Mughees Ahmed scoring 62 (six fours) as slow left-armer Tayyab grabbed five wickets for 42 runs.

In another fixture played at the KCCA Stadium, TMC trounced Samanabad Gymkhana by nine wickets after dismissing their opponents for only 82.
