Neglecting Fata

Published February 14, 2018

FATA is the most neglected area of Pakistan and its merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will not only benefit it but the whole country.

Fata has no government, budget or fund. This has forced Fata residents to live in extreme poverty and poor lifestyle.

The civilian and military leaderships and the Pakistani nation along with Fata residents are in favour of Fata’s merger with KP except Maulana Fazalur Rehman and Mahmood Achakzai, who do not reside in Fata.

The maulana has been rallying against the Fata-KP merger because of his opposition to Imran Khan. This is cruel.

Fazalur Rehman and Achakzai should not take stand on national issues on the basis of their political rivalries. They should not create hurdles in Fata’s merger with KP in the interest of fata and Pakistan.

The public of this neglected area needs better healthcare, education and job opportunities to contribute to Pakistan’s progress.
