SAHIWAL: At a public meeting organised by the District Muslim League here last evening [Feb 9] two Provincial Ministers, Malik Khuda Bakhsh Bucha, and Mian Mohammad Yasin Khan Wattoo, declared that the presidential form of Government was best suited to the needs and genius of the masses.

Malik Khuda Bakhsh, Provincial Food and Agriculture Minister, said that the people of Pakistan had experienced both the systems of Government and asked the audience to judge and compare the achievements of both the systems and then form their opinion.

In his opinion the parliamentary system of Government had brought uncertainty, disunity, disruption, discontentment, chaos and confusion in internal polices and had lowered the prestige and status of Pakistan abroad.

On the other hand the presidential form of Government initiated by President Ayub brought about stability, confidence, optimism, faith at home and enhanced the prestige and status of Pakistan in the comity of nations. He said facts would bear out that during the last 10 years there had been all-round progress in the country.
