Karakoram University

Published February 4, 2018

THE Karakoram International University campus in Diamer, Chilas, was planned along with the Hunza campus in 2015.

Unfortunately, while the campus in Hunza is operational, Diamer campus still does not exist. Diamer is the most backward area having the lowest literacy rate in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The authorities concerned should look into this issue. Only education makes people civilised and helps them to contribute to the country and society.
