KARACHI, May 8: Hosts Aga Khan University (AKU) clinched the Inter-university basketball championship in a thriller, beating Dow Medical University (DMU) 86-85 in the final at their own premises, says a press release on Sunday.

Bilal Abid led his team to victory with 42 point. He got excellent support from Ovais Hasan (28) and Latif Bashir (10).

Noman Yousuf (37) and Umer Kazi (21) produced an outstanding show but failed to save his team. Jabir Hakeem made 14.

AKU captain, Ovais who was named the best scorer of the tournament received winners trophy while DMU’s Baber Malik was handed the runners-up trophy.—APP
