Export Facilitation body meets

KARACHI, Jan 7: The Export Facilitation Committee would now meet after every two months instead of three months.

In a meeting held at Customs House, with Collector of Customs (exports) Aftab Anwar Baloch in the chair the committee took stock of current situation and on the spot sorted out some of the issues confronting exporters.

It was also decided to expedite the payment of pending rebates, bank guarantees, and early clearance of consignments, etc., if any to the entire satisfaction of exporters.

Others who participated in the meeting included the President KCCI A Q Khalil, Ikhtiar Baig member managing committee, FPCCI, Imran Shaukat representative of KCCI, Farhat Awan deputy director EPB and some representatives of exporters.
