Mikaal Zulfiqar is flying high on his new project titled Sherdil.

Images got in touch with the actor for details on his new venture and he didn't disappoint. Produced in collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force, Sherdil will have a mix of action, romance and comedy, disclosed the actor.

Mikaal is playing the lead in the film alongside Armeena Khan. "The whole story revolves around my character and my journey through the air force as I become the top pilot not just in Pakistan but all over the world. So it's a really exciting character."

Unfortunately, he may not be flying a plane, but he's just as excited to sit in one! "It's also great to play a fighter pilot; every kid dreams of flying a fighter plane - I guess I won't be flying one but I'll get a chance to sit in one and maybe get a chance to fly as a passenger."

"It's a great honour to put on the uniform of the Pakistan Air Force and to be able to represent these brave men who put their lives on the line for the safety of this great country every single day," he added.

The Diyar-e-Dil actor gave more insight into the project and said, "Sherdil is a big budget film it has some amazing fight sequences, it's being shot in and around Islamabad in beautiful locations. We're also shooting in multiple (air force) bases all over Pakistan."

He continued: "Part of the film will be shot in Egypt and we should be done with the shoot by the first quarter [of this year], by the second quarter post-production should be finished and by the end of this year the people could perhaps expect to see the film."

Seems rather unprofessional for male and female air crew in uniform to be romantically embracing in front of an aircraft.
