SHIKARPUR’S famous Benazir Park has turned into a desolate piece of land owing to the lacklustre attitude of relevant authorities. The park is situated near SP office road. Residents in the vicinity have no reason to visit the park since it is being used as a debris site.

Drug addicts and vagrants are found loitering inside the park all the time. It is sad to see a public space being turned into ruins.

Many residents have lovely childhood memories associated with the park. Now these people cannot bring their children to the same place.

It is hoped that the authorities concerned will finally wake up from their deep slumber and start repair work in the park.
