IN a news item titled ‘Lahore stands to gain five more provincial assembly seats’ in Dawn’s Jan 15 issue, it was erroneously stated that number of seats in the capital of Punjab would increase from 20 to 25. The number will actually increase from 25 to 30.

It is also clarified that Gujrat may not lose two provincial assembly seats as stated in the story, since its share of 7.44 entitles it to seven seats in the legislature.

The errors are regretted.
