64 LPG sellers arrested

LAHORE, May 7: The city police claimed on Saturday to have arrested 64 people for selling liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, petrol and fireworks illegally in different parts of the city. They said 43 of them were arrested from cantonment, 11 from city and 10 from Saddar divisions. Traffic police also fined 95 rickshaw owners for using LPG cylinders.

Meanwhile, Defence police arrested five people for allegedly kidnapping a trader, Maqsood Husain, for ransom who had come to Lahore from Jeddah a few days ago.

The arrested men have been identified as Bobby Butt, Shamsul Haq, Azam, Farrukh Rashid and Abdul Majid.
