KARACHI: Four-year-old bay colt Big Bravo, who completed hat-trick while lifting the Quaid-i-Azam Gold Cup on Dec 25, is set to stretch his winning run when he appears in the New Year Cup in the winter Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Race­course on Saturday.

Big Bravo is drawn alongside half-a-dozen horses in the New Year Cup which will be contested over a distance of six furlongs. It is the fourth race of the day’s programme.

Besides the cup, the first two races will go over four-and-a-half furlongs while the remaining two over five furlongs. Kabil will make debut in the first race.

According to programme, the first race starts at 2.30pm.
