Lawyer kidnapped in Johar Town

LAHORE: A lawyer has been allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons in Johar Town.

Police said Nisar Iqbal Butter, a resident of Johar Town M-Block, had a law practice at the Lahore High Court. He was going to his home by a car on Friday when unidentified persons stopped him near Khokhar Chowk. The suspects bundled the advocate into their car before fleeing. Nawab Town police had registered a case against unidentified kidnappers on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Hassan Ali.

Investigating Officer Nazeer Ahmad told Dawn that the police found Butter’s vehicle on a service lane near Khokhar Chowk. He said they were investigating the case from various angles.

KILLED: Three men were killed while another was injured after a tractor trolley overturned when a truck rammed into it in Badami Bagh on Sunday.

Police said four people on a tractor trolley were coming from Nankana Sahib to Lahore when a truck hit them in the service lane of Ring Road. The tractor trolley lost its balance and overturned. The driver and three riders were crushed under the trolley.
