KARACHI: Model Colony Gymkhana pulled off a four-wicket victory against Pak Shaheen CC in their KCCA Zone-IV Abdul Rauf Malik Cricket Tournament match at the Pak Star Ground on Wednesday.

Pak Shaheen CC, batting first, were all out for 176 in 34.4 overs with Mohammad Usman (45, five fours) and Umar Farooq (40, seven fours) being the major run-getters.

Mooed Farooqui and Mohammad Mesum picked up three wickets each, for 21 and 31 runs, respectively. Model Colony Gymkhana, in reply, reached 177-6 in the 26th over. Shahzaib Khan hit 47 with the help of five boundaries and one six, while Alamgir Khan made 41 that included four fours and a six.

Usman and Humair Samiul claimed three wickets for the losing team.

Meanwhile in another fixture played on Tuesday, Shah Town Gymkhana trounced Model CC by 92 runs.

Shafiq-ur-Rehman (67, seven boundaries), Samiullah (47, two fours and one six) guided Shah Town Gymkhana to 255-7 in the stipulated 40 overs.

Mohammad Rehmat captured three wickets for 32 runs. Model CC’s chase for 256 ended abruptly at 163 in 22.1 overs despite Mohammad Waqas contributing 55 (six fours and three sixes).

Slow left-armer Usama Ashraf snared four wickets for 29 runs, while off-spinner Mohammad Ramzan took 3-44.
