QUETTA: Two workers suffocated to death in a coalmine in the Duki area of Loralai district, officials said on Sunday.
They claimed that Naimatullah and Shah Wali were working deep inside the mine on Saturday when a lot of methane gas accumulated in it.
Local mine workers rushed to the site after receiving information about the incident and tried to save their colleagues. The victims, who were residents of Qila Saifullah, were taken to a nearby health facility where doctors confirmed their death. The bodies were handed over to the families of the deceased after all medico-legal formalities were completed.
