KARACHI: Top male and female ping pong players of the city will compete in the Dr Essa Mohammad Karachi Table Tennis Championship being staged here at Islamia Club from Dec 9 to 14.

Seven events that will be organised in the championship includes men and women team events, men and women singles and doubles and mixed doubles.

The annual event has earned a positive response as 14 affiliated units of the Karachi Table Tennis Association (KTTA) have confirmed their participation.

These units are Islamia Club, Amroha Club, Young Stars Club, Essa Lab, Aga Khan Club, Khokhar Club, Sunset Club, Creek Club, Hassanabad Club, Sindh Sports Board, Fatmiya Sports Complex, Times Table Tennis, Alishan Table Tennis Club and Salawat Club.

Saturday’s fixtures:

Women’s team event (3:30pm); men’s team event (5:30pm)
