KARACHI, Oct 20: A meeting of federal and all the provincial public service commissions here on Monday discussed the causes and remedies of delay in recruitment process, uniformity in rules and regulations, systems of evaluation of candidates.
The need for a coordination cell was also discussed. The general consensus was that the creation of such a cell would help in constant and continuous interaction among various commissions.
It was observed that latest trends in the methods of evaluation and techniques of interviews were emerging and it was necessary that the members be provided with an opportunity of orientation in latest development in the process of selection and recruitment.
The meeting was informed that Sindh Bombay Public Service Commission was established in 1937. In August, 1947 Sindh Public Service Commission was created which has continued since then. Its headquarter is located in Hyderabad.
The meeting hosted by the Sindh Public Service Commission was attended by Lt-Gen Jamshaid Gulzar, Chairman, Federal Public Service Commission; Javed Masud, Chairman, Punjab Public Service Commission; Abdullah, Chairman, NWFP Public Service Commission; Abdul Majeed Babar, Chairman, Balochistan Public Service Commission, Muhammad Hassan Bhutto, Chairman and all the members of Sindh Public Service Commission.—PPI
