ACCORDING to your news report, the PTI and JUI-S have agreed to formulate a joint strategy for the next general election.

Maulana Samiul Haq, the chief of the JUI-S, who is also known as ‘Father of the Taliban’ , said ideologies of the two parties had similarities and they could work together.

We should not forget that in 2013 the Taliban appointed Imran Khan as their representative to negotiate with the government. The KP government, on the directive of Mr Khan, also donated Rs300m to Madrassah-i-Haqqani, which is being run by Maulana Samiul Haq.

The alliance with the ‘Father of Taliban’ shows what kind of government Mr Khan wants to establish if he wins the next general election.
