KARACHI, Aug 28: Two persons died in separate road traffic accidents on the Super Highway late on Wednesday night, while a young girl lost her life in a road accident in Gulzar-i-Hijri on Thursday.

Police said that a young man was knocked down by an unknown speeding vehicle near New Sabzi Mandi.

The victim was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The unidentified vehicle escaped after the accident.

In another similar accident, an unknown man in his mid 30’s was crushed to death near Chisti Hotel near Toll Plaza on the Super Highway.

The victim died on the spot, his body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for the post-mortem examination.

Both the bodies were shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

A four-year-old girl, Niazmand, who was playing outside her house in Bukka Goth was knocked down by a water tanker.

She was taken to a nearby private hospital where she was pronounced dead on arri-val.

The police claimed to have arrested the errant driver Mohammad Tariq from the spot and impounded the vehicle.
