QUETTA: FIA personnel arrested here on Sunday a member of a gang of human smugglers allegedly involved in sending people illegally to Iran through infrequent routes.

Official sources said an FIA team from Lahore reached Quetta and arrested the alleged human smuggler identified as Mohammad Sadiq during a raid.

The sources said Sadiq would be taken to Lahore for interrogation. They said he was arrested on the information provided by another accused, Waheed, who was arrested three days ago in Punjab.

An FIA official said the 20 men killed in Balochistan had earlier been stationed with Sadiq in Quetta, adds AP.
