KARACHI, Aug 26: The Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) disbursed cash benefits amounting to Rs2.23 million to secured workers and their dependents in July.
The payment pertained to assistance under the head of sickness (Rs689,000), disability/pension/gratuity (Rs841,000), injury (Rs326,000), survivors’ pension (Rs114,000), maternity (Rs38,000) and husband’s death/Iddat (Rs1,100).
A sum of Rs51.228 million was collected as social security contribution from 15,140 registered establishments employing 246,000 workers during the month.
