SWABI: Police arrested four alleged vehicle snatchers and recovered two tractor trolleys here on Thursday.

Giving details, district police officer Sohail Khalid said that the vehicle snatchers belonged to Mardan district and the police had started investigations to trace their other accomplices.

He said that a few days ago one Bakht Sair, a resident of Naranji, had registered an FIR in Parmuli police station, stating that three people with their faces covered snatched a tractor-trolley from him at gunpoint.

Another driver of Yar Hussain village registered an FIR in the local police station, saying that three people snatched his tractor-trolley near Jagnat Bridge at gunpoint, threatening to kill him if he resisted.

The police team succeeded to arrest four suspects who also divulged information about the area where the two vehicles were parked. The suspects were identified as Qasim Ali and his brother Ghaus Ali, Kashif Khan and Shahab Ali, all residents of Mardan district.
