TIMERGARA, Aug 26: The NWFP government is concentrating on developing education, health and agriculture sectors.

This was stated by NWFP Minister for Agriculture Qari Mehmood on Monday while speaking at a function organized by the Agriculture Research Centre, Swat, in collaboration with the Dir Area Support Project and the Extension Wing of the Agriculture Department, Lower Dir.

The function was held to highlight the importance of growing soybean, ground nuts and pulses.

The minister said that Rs718.721 million had been set aside in the current budget to promote these commodities to achieve self-sufficiency in foodgrain production. He said that Rs40 million had been allocated for promoting tea cultivation in the province.
