TAXILA: The president of Fatehjang PPP women wing and her young son died in a road accident on Wednesday.

Police and hospital sources said that Ayesha Mughal’s car collided with another car coming from opposite direction on Kohat -Fatehjang road. As a result she and her son Arsalan Mughal received multiple injuries.

They were taken to Holy Family hospital due to their critical condition but they succumbed to their injuries.

Meanwhile, a car driven allegedly by a drunk driver ran over three persons standing on a bus stop on G.T. Road in Wah Saddar Police area killing one of them on the spot.

Police have registered separate cases and started investigation.

Two bodies found

Two bodies were found from different areas of Hassanabdal on Wednesday, police and hospital sources said.

In the first incident body of a 60-year-old man was found floating in the water of village pond in Kalu Pind area.

Local divers retrieved the body and shifted it to THQ hospital.

Later the deceased was identified as Mohammad Asghar- a resident of Rawalpindi.

Police while quoting the family members of the deceased said that he was a special person and missing for the last few days.

In the second incident, a body of a young man was found hanging from a tree in Pathargarh area. Police sources said that some passerby spotted the body and informed the police who shifted it to THQ hospital for autopsy.

The body was not identified till filing of this report.

The Hassanabdal police have registered separate cases and started further investigation.
