QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau, Balochistan, denied on Thursday it was consulted by the home department on moving Mr Khalid Langove, former adviser to the chief minister on finance, from the Quetta district prison to his house and declaring his residence as sub-jail.

“NAB denies there was any consultation between the home department and NAB for declaring Mr Langove’s residence as the sub-jail,” says a statement issued here on Thursday by Balochistan NAB.

NAB sources said there were neither formal consultations nor any communication was made by the home department for declaring the house of Mr Langove as the sub-jail.

The sources said that this action taken by the provincial home department would not deter NAB from investigation into the matter and it would continue its work in accordance with relevant laws.

Mr Langove was arrested on charge of misappropriating local government funds.
