FIH official due today

KARACHI, Jan 5: Mohammad Tayyab Ikram, Project Manager of International Hockey Federation (FIH), is due to arrive in Pakistan Sunday on the invitation of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) to help improve performance for Pakistan team for next month World Cup in Kuala Lumpur.

Tayyab, who is also among the panel of FIH Master coaches with Australian Terry Walsh and Hendriks of the Netherlands, will provide technical and tactical assistance and advice to Pakistan coach Hanif Khan and assistant coach Khawaja Junaid how to remove deficiencies and technical flaws in Pakistan team.

Macau-based Pakistani an expert in imparting training and coaching the coaches will also give technical training to national team now attending the training camp at National Hockey Stadium in Lahore.

During his week-long consultation tour Tayyab will provide technical and tactical training to coaches and the team.—APP
