Power projects okayed

LANDI KOTAL, Aug 24: The federal government has approved Rs60 million for three power projects in Bara subdivision of Khyber Agency.

Giving details of the electrification plan okayed by Federal Minister for Water and Power Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, the MNA from Bara, Maulana Khalilur Rehman told tribal elders that Wapda would upgrade the Bara grid station, install additional transformers and lay new power line to Bar Qambarkhel and Ouch Pul from the Hayatabad grid station at a cost of Rs60 million.

He said that keeping in view the backwardness of Khyber Agency, the federal government was trying to solve the problems of the people of this area on war footings.—Correspondent
