ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad suffered suspension of cell phone survive or weak signals on Monday.

According to a representative of a cellular company, the service was suspended on the directives of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) due to a concert and rally at the Parade Ground.

A resident of Aabpara, Aleem Malik, while talking to Dawn said that he faced weak signals or complete suspension of cell phone service on Monday.

The PTA and Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) officials could not be contacted despite a number of attempts.

However, the representative of the cell phone company said they had written directives from the PTA that the service should remain suspended till 10:30pm because of the activity at Islamabad’s Parade Avenue.
