JACOBABAD, Aug 24: A man and a woman were killed on the pretext of Karo-kari in Hassan Katohar village, Ghari Khero taluka on Friday.

Allah Rakhio Katohar was on his way to house when shot dead by accused Majeed, Lahrno alias Loong and Abdul Razzaq Katohar.

After killing the man, the accused rushed to the house where Majeed Katohar opened fire on his wife, Ameeran, who was busy in domestic work. She died on the spot.

The accused managed to escape after committing double murder. The Dodapur police have registered a case and are investigating.

Hashish seized: The anti-smuggling squad, customs, Larkana division, seized goods worth Rs1.5 million and nine kilograms hashish from different vehicles during checking near the Umrani Laro checkpost on Sunday.

The seized items included Mobil oil cartons and 250 cartons of soap. The goods were being brought from Quetta illegally.
