MUZAFFARGARH: The Jamat-e-Islami has promised to join farmers’ protest drive if the crushing season does not started from November 1.

Addressing a workers convention in Alipur Shumali on Friday, JI leader Liaqat Baloch said he was surprised to learn about fake cases against fish farmers to retrieve leased land from them.

The convention drew a large number of farmers as well who were disappointed at low rates of their farm produce. They chanted slogans against sugar mills for non-payment of their last year dues.
