Dog bite

Published October 21, 2017

THIS is apropos the letter ‘Dog bite vaccination’ (Oct 14). Murshid Hospital and Healthcare Centre in Baldia has an anti-rabies department, which works 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

It is providing immunoglobulin and dog bite vaccine at no cost at all to victims of dog bite. Our rabies cell was established in collaboration with Indus Hospital.

Any victim bitten on the weekend or public holiday by a stray dog can attend the emergency of the hospital to get full protection against rabies, which could lead to death if immunoglobulin vaccine is not given immediately.
