QUETTA: Abdul Samad, President Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), has appealed to the FBR chairman, chief collector customs south and the Inspector General Frontier Corps to encourage and promote the business community in Balochistan.

Talking to media on Wednesday, Mr Samad said the chamber will make all possible efforts for the promotion of legal business, including imports and exports. “We will not encourage and defend those importers and exporters who are making efforts for illegal import and export,” he said.

The QCCI president through a letter informed the authorities concerned that despite having all required documents, trucks carrying trade items are being held up.

“Despite showing all legal documents, halting loaded vehicles gives a bad impression on legal business,” he said.
