Mental health

Published October 18, 2017

RECENTLY seminars and programmes were organised on the World Mental Health Day. Among many other things which lead to decay in mental health is depression, which is on the top.

Many people live in depressed condition because of the negativity spread by local TV channels. A person coming back from work in the evening or a housewife resting after finishing her day’s work ends up viewing programmes where you find nothing but frustration.

All programmes, whether it is news, talk shows or long serial plays, do not display any positivity. While watching news on TV, one could only see negative effects of bad governance. TV talk shows are nothing but a blame game where the match ends in a draw with no result. Plays are nothing but family disputes.

We have such beautiful things happening in Pakistan and we are blessed with wonderful loving and caring people. We need to demonstrate positivity.
