LAHORE: The three-day 7th PFDC Bridal Fashion Week concluded on Monday at Nishat Banquets.

The collections presented on the ramp on the last day included Tabya Khan’s, IVY Couture by Shazia and Sehr, Zuria Dor and Farah & Fatima. The evening shows featured Nomi Ansari, Saira-Shakira, Nickie Nina, Sadaf Fawad Khan Bridals and Fahad Hussayn.

The inaugural show of the evening was by Tabya Khan’s Feroza. The IVY Couture by Shazia and Sehr presented ‘Rang-e-Perahan,’ in collaboration with Amrapali Jewellery.

The collection was the amalgamation of the trends in Ottoman and Mughal empires. It incorporated an eclectic mix of rich and contemporary fabrics such as tissue, organza, net, jamawar and Indian zari. The color palette ranged from bright to pastel hues to cater to the traditional and contemporary needs.

Next was Zuria Dor’s ‘King of Her Castle’. The collection drew inspiration from the progressive Pakistani woman. It had diversity of fabrics. The 16-piece presentation had geometrical and floral patterns with flat and 3D embellishments.

The colour palette ranged from shades of ivory, yellow, mustard, green progressing towards pops of color of bright pink, lilac and coral and finishing with mint and metallic.

Farah & Fatima showcased their bridal collection ‘Meraki’ which had infused elegance of phulkari and chintz with contemporary designs that compliments the essence of a traditional bride.

The evening bridal showcase was unveiled by Nomi Ansari who showcased his bridal collection, ‘Qabool Hai,’ in collaboration with Hamna Amir Jewellery. Each design was additionally scented of the inspiring melodies from Mughal-e-Azam, starring Madhubala and Dilip Kumar.

Saira Shakira presented their collection, ‘Artemisia’. Juxtaposing edgy silhouettes with traditional embellishment and intricate patterns, the design house stayed true to its signature contemporary philosophy and presented a collection for the modern-day bride.

Nickie Nina showcased their collection “Adeena – Generation IV” in collaboration with Gold by Reama Malik. Inspired by magnificence of Eastern antiquity, Nickie Nina’s latest bridal collection was a conglomeration of cultures that celebrated the regal beauty, dynamic colours and unparalleled grace of the East. The collection had tissue, atlas, kamkhwab, net tissue, velvet and chunri in a variety of structured eastern silhouettes.

Sadaf Fawad Khan Bridals made its debut with the bridal collection, ‘Elayna’. In the collection, named after Sadaf’s daughter, each design was set in singular metallic tones of red, blue, yellow, lilac and peach, reflecting the brilliance of the night sky. Incorporating the reflection and refraction of light that formed a rainbow, the motifs were embellished with crystals with zardozi setting and appliqué work for outfits that dazzled the senses. Using rich fabrics such as such as tissue with a hint of net, texturing and detailing, the collection was designed to be a celebration of Pakistani handcrafted workmanship.

Fahad Hussayn Couture showcased ‘Hoshruba: Dara Shikoh Aur Sunehri Churail’, a bridal couture collection as the finale of the week. The collection delved into the world of magical realism where historical figures met folklore in a fantastically penned saga of larger than life Mughal grandeur.
